Original Post:
I recently created a hat that is all my own! Meaning, I didn't use a pattern, I created a pattern myself!
I've seen hats like it, and have wanted to find a pattern, but never could. So I finally decided that I would try to be creative and come up with a pattern myself!
All of my other hats are made from patterns that I purchased, and then modified and added to in order for them to suit my style. (I also had to make numerous adjustments to have them actually fit the sizes they were supposed to be.)
I've never had a problem coming up with a name for my hats in the past. But, this time, I must have used up all my creativeness on the hat itself, cause I couldn't, for the life of me, come up with a name!
That's when I had the brilliant idea to have a contest!
Yes, a contest.....
The Rules:
One name suggestion per person.
Anyone can enter. Blog about it, tweet about, post it on your facebook, if you wish.
You must enter your name suggestion here in the comments section of this post. These will be the only comments to be considered. (Please don't post annonymously. I need to see the name of the person entering the contest.)
The Prize:
Whoever submits the hat name I like the most will win the hat. The winner can choose to have the hat either made in the pink and grey that is pictured here (for a girl), or I can make it in white and grey (for a more unisex look.)
This hat is meant mostly for a photo prop/heirloom hat and will fit most babies aged newborn - 10 weeks.
You may either keep the hat for yourself or gift it to a friend or family member. You may NOT sell the hat.
This contest will only be open until 5pm (Pacific Time) on Saturday, December 19th, so all comments must be entered by then. I will ship the hat to the winner after Christmas.
And now, here are a few pictures of my new hat!!!

So, good luck as you think creative thoughts! I'm looking for something cute, catchy and that "fits" the hat.
Happy commenting!

Baby Lou Who Hat!
It looked like a hat a character from Whoville would wear ... Dr Seuss. You could use the girl from Who (Cindy Lou Who) or the boy (Stu Lou Who)

I was going to suggest The Baby Seuss... and then I read Sarah's post. :) Great minds thinking alike... haha
I have two of these!

I just bought them off ebay a while back before the twins were born. The lady actually made me a blue one by mistake so she remade me the pink one and sent it. She gave me a discounted rate. The flowers on the hat are removeable too in case I don't want them. They were spendy but worth it.
I love the hat Melissa!!! So precious. My first thought was the "Tunnel of Love" hat ... it kind of looks like a long tunnel to the little love of your life that would wear it :-) Great job, Mama!

Oh my that is just too cute. Would love to photograph a baby in it. Great job, it is so precious.
A red and green one for a December baby would be adorable you could call it "The Jingle Bell"
I got nothing, but wanted to tell you that I love the hat! Super cute!
elfkins...for the special little people we love!

I love the yarns! "Santa's Baby"
I'm gonna say hatfel (from eiffel) tower!! Yes hatfel tower, because the shape reminds me of the eiffel tower. Sarah got my first suggestion!!! But I guess thats pretty common since 3 out of 9 have thought about that!!
Not sure if my entry counted since I said what to name a Christmas one.
For these I say snow baby. Snow baby boy and snow baby girl.
They are baby hats, and they remind me of fluffy snow. And they are adorable and I want one. I don't even have a newborn to photograph yet, but i'll find one.
Hi Melissa
These hats are adorable, and we think that the hat should be something sweet like Petite Toppers.
Sorry I'm late hope I can still enter.
